As we usher into 2023, it’s time to carry forward the tradition of making customary New Year’s resolutions. Some common resolutions include weight loss goals, financial goals, eating clean, self-improvement, working out, following our passion, and so on. This year, let’s focus on home improvement and make some achievable resolutions for our abodes as we are spending a lot of time indoors. We must ensure that our homes are clean, well-organized, and comfortable to use. Maintaining the house requires hard work and effort, and these tips can help us organize better. So let’s celebrate 2023 with hope and positivity, as these resolutions can easily fit a busy lifestyle.

1. Decluttering

Decluttering is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to bring a sense of clarity and positivity into your home.

  • Adopt the minimalist lifestyle. It is not about getting rid of everything but just keeping what you need. We tend to accumulate and hoard many things that we do not require. It takes a little effort to eliminate and donate the extra things. Check whatever you have before you buy more.
  • Take some inspiration from the Marie Kondo style of organizing so that whatever product you possess sparks joy. This is a great way to make space for what matters and a Zen vibe.

Designer: Radha Sotomayor

2. Deep clean

It is time to pack all your Christmas decorations as the holiday season is over. Deep clean the rooms and create a maintenance routine to make the home a better and brighter place.

  • Device a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routine which is easy to adhere to. Various checklists are available online. Choose the one that is best suited for your working style.
  • Always keep a basic cleaning kit in each bathroom and kitchen for easier accessibility, quicker cleaning, and keeping the home more organized.

3. Organize your storage

Small habits that we practice every day will help us to stay organized and create a tidy home.

  • It is highly recommended to store items of one category together. Demarcate different sections for keeping the toys, electronic chargers, books, clothes, craft supplies, papers, stationary, wrapping paper, and so on. It will become easier to search for things.
  • Store your items in boxes, trays, and baskets. Labeling the baskets and containers makes it easier to find them amidst the chaos. Try to store vertically so that all the objects are visible in one go.
  • Stop the paper clutter, as envelopes, catalogs, and documents tend to create a lot of chaos.
  • Don’t forget to periodically organize the digital clutter of your phone, laptop, and tablet, keep deleting extra emails, photographs and unsubscribing to emails, to name a few.

Designer: Leydi Rofman

4. Clean and Organize the Kitchen

Your kitchen has worked hard during the holidays, so it is time for some deep cleaning and organizing.

  • The first step is to empty all the kitchen ingredients and check what you need to keep, discard or donate. Check the expiry date of the non-perishable items and canned tins before buying and adding new grocery items to the kitchen.
  • Empty the contents of the kitchen cabinets and divide the storage into items that we use frequently and rarely used items.
  • Give a spring clean to all the drawers and cabinets and organize them in a grouping technique that suits your lifestyle. Place the items closest to where their function is performed.
  • Neatly organized containers and tins make cooking easier and more efficient.
  • Purchase additional storage and organization tools like roll-out shelves, baskets, storage containers, cabinet risers, and drop-downs to improve the kitchen’s efficiency.

Designer: Nancy Eaton

5. Organize your Home Office

Many of us are into hybrid models and work-from-home models, so we must ensure that the home office helps to improve focus and productivity. Also, we must prevent frequent clutter from building up.

  • Don’t let the pile of papers and documents create chaos. Create a mail station for incoming and outgoing mail. Categorize the papers into different files, place them alphabetically, or the best way is to go paperless.
  • Designate an area for keeping the printer and all the printing supplies. Use the vertical wall space to keep filing systems, hangers, shelving, and whiteboards.
  • Organize all the office supplies in containers, drawers, and baskets and keep them out of view so that it imparts a decluttered look.
  • Organize the books according to size and color, and genre.

Designer: norse.keeb

6. Invest in Smart and Energy-efficient Appliances

Here is how you can conserve energy and recurring electricity costs.

  • Invest in programmable thermostats, smart appliances, and smart lighting to save electricity costs. One can control the heating or cooling of the house via the smartphone application.
  • In case you need to replace white goods like refrigerators, air conditioners, and dishwashers, they should be replaced with Energy Star or energy-efficient appliances.
  • Replace all incandescent bulbs and CFL lights with LED lights because these lights are highly durable, they are long-lasting, and come with superior energy—efficiency.

Designer: Samsung

7. Healthy Habits and Sustainable Lifestyle

We should be mindful of protecting our climate, and sustainable habits should be the core of our home décor. Some of the best ways to go green and reduce the carbon footprint are as follows:

  • Create a clean and restful environment by tidying up your clothes every day instead of throwing them on the chair.
  • Make it a point to switch off the lights when you leave any room — turning off the lights when not in use reduces the electricity bills and extends the bulb’s life.
  • Reduce disposables, avoid single-use packaging, shop with reusable bags, and avoid prepackaged food by buying from the local farmer’s market.
  • Air-drying clothes is more eco-friendly than using a dryer. It not only saves electricity costs but also reduces wrinkles and increases the lifespan of the clothes.
  • Improve the thermal insulation of the house by caulking around the doors and windows and weather-stripping. This is one of the best ways to reduce air leakage and a cost-effective way to reduce heating and cooling costs.
  • Seal and insulate the heat ducts to improve the heating and cooling efficiency of the home.
  • Improve the water efficiency of your home with low-flow showerheads, as they can reduce water consumption by nearly 40% and result in significant savings on annual heating costs.
  • Invest in low-maintenance and highly durable materials, as they can reduce the wear and tear of your home and enable long-term cost savings.
  • Try composting at home, as it is a process in which organic kitchen and garden waste, like food scrap and leaves, break down into the soil. This is a perfect way to recycle waste from the kitchen and garden and convert it into nutrient-rich fertilizer for the garden.
  • Segregate your wet waste from dry waste and place it in bins and bags in places that are easy to access. This segregation makes it easy to further segregate dry waste into different categories.

Designer: Katie Maris

8. Decorate with Plants

Plants are a great way to add beauty and color, it allows us to distress and lower anxiety levels.

  • They come with air-purifying qualities that eliminate toxins and maintain good humidity levels indoors.
  • Some of the common pollutants include mold spores, bacteria, and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) like benzene, xylene, toluene, formaldehyde, and trichloroethylene that are usually emitted from chemical cleaners and household products.

I spend a substantial amount of my day on my desk, typing away to glory. Most of the time I also end up eating my meals on it! And binge-watching on Netflix as well. And I’m sure that’s the case with most of us, since working from home became the new norm, and our home offices became our new hang-out spots. But having a great desk is really important! Simply a ‘good’ desk won’t do either. A great desk helps us work comfortably and effectively. It puts us in the right mindset, helping us achieve our daily productivity goals and checkmark all the tasks on our to-do list! Not only should our desks be clean, but they should also sport an ergonomic and functional design! And good looks are an added bonus. And finding a desk that does all of the above can be a Herculean task. But worry not, I’ve found the perfect desk for you – the Croft Sit-Stand Desk!

Designer: Jamie Hoyle and Katherine Mathew of Koda Studios

Designed by Yorkshire-based furniture studio Koda, the Croft Sit-Stand Desk is a height-adjustable desk for home offices. The elegant and chic-looking desk was designed by the studio’s managing director Jamie Hoyle and creative director Katherine Mathew. The duo was inspired by traditional writing desks while designing the Croft Sit-Stand Desk, and they integrated a touch-screen console that enables users to change the desk’s height from seated to standing positions.

Built using American Black walnut, the desk was designed to be a sophisticated and sleek addition to home offices, functioning as a modern furniture piece that is the “perfect fusion of form and function”, equipped with angled drawers that offer sufficient storage and provide a unique geometric quality to the desk. Besides being exceptionally good-looking, the desk also offers ergonomic comfort and value.

“This walnut design is defined by statement bold lines and sleek angles. Boasting plenty of storage, the desk has a geometric profile with angled storage compartments that are perfect for keeping loose stationery and filing in place,” said Koda. “We draw inspiration for our custom furniture designs from the artistry of interior design and architecture,” added Hoyle.

If your ears are particular to the way sound flows in a room, then you’re probably not always so comfortable in spaces where acoustics aren’t really well thought about by the architects and designers. For regular office spaces, this isn’t really a priority but having pleasant acoustics can add to the productivity of employees. It should be a balance between not being too soundproof and also not being too noisy. This new eco-friendly product is an option for those who are looking for a multi-purpose accessory they can add to the space that can provide acoustics and even other things.

Designer: Narbutas

The Parthos is an acoustic column that was designed to be part of the decoration of your space and at the same time providing you with better acoustics. It is able to muffle high, medium, and low frequency sounds to give you a more pleasant and relaxing aural environment. The columns are made of textile offcuts that have are good sound-absorbing materials and covered with PET felt that is able to enhance that. The patterns for the columns are also able to disperse some of the sound waves.

There are four variants of the Parthos that you can choose from. There’s just the plain acoustic column that just performs its main purpose. It’s available in three different heights that you can mix and max. There’s also the version that has space for potted plants in case you also wan it to be decorative. You can also add hooks for the other variant so you can use it for hanging coats, handbags, and other accessories you may need to hang. There’s also a version that has a power socket so you can charge your smart devices as needed.

The materials used are sustainable as they used upholstery cutoffs that are left over from other manufacturing projects instead of new foam. The PET felt is 50% off recycled plastic. The acoustic columns are also pretty easy to disassemble and recycle when it reaches its end of life. The available colors are muted but that should fit right in with most office environments.

Designer: Pelin Özbalcı

Rendered on KeyShot: Click Here to Download Your Free Trial Now!

Designed by Pelin Özbalcı, the Tabs desk is designed for those who easily get distracted from their work. In today’s day and age, we are constantly consuming different kinds of content, and media, as a result of which our attention span is declining steadily. We find ourselves consistently procrastinating (the only thing we’re probably consistent at) and find it difficult to pay attention to any task for a long span of time. Much like the Windows tabs on our laptops and computer, the Tabs desk has also been equipped with different tabs. There are three tabs built using three different materials – the Fabric tab, Felt tab, and Cork tab. The tabs have been installed on a double rail system, attached to the table, allowing you to move the modular tabs around.

You can use the Fabric and Cork tab with thumbtacks, attaching your important notes and documents to them, while you work. The Felt tab features elastics and pockets which can be used to display notes and documents as well, or to store items. You can move the tabs around, and place the subject you’re working on in the tab in front of you, while the other tabs with tasks that need to be attended to later, can be covered, preventing your attention from fluctuating. Once you finish a task, you can move that tab away, and start working on the next tab. This is an excellent way to help you to focus on tasks one by one, without overwhelming yourself or taking up more than you can handle. This ensures that our work process becomes more streamlined, and focused.

The tabletop of the Tabs desk has been kept quite simple and minimal, although the desk has been equipped with three drawers, below the tabletop. The drawers seamlessly blend into the sides of the table, without standing out.

]]>

Whether you’re working from home, or in a corporate office, the one thing that’s pretty much consistent in both these scenarios is a desk! A desk is probably one of the most important pieces of furniture in our modern lives, only because we spend the majority of our day on it. You may be typing away to glory, munching away on a snack, or simply fidgeting with a random object – you do end up spending hours on your desk. And hence, it’s really important that your desk be neat, tidy, and uncluttered. Not only will this improve your work routine and productivity, but it will also help you maintain a clearer and more streamlined mindset. And, I’ve discovered that adding limited, quality, and innovative products to my desk setup can help me in achieving these goals! The desk accessories you place on your desk are an integral part of your home/corporate office. From a note-taking desk accessory that puts a small twist to your productivity to a recyclable, minimal and functional keyboard – these ingenious desk accessories are all you need to achieve your desk setup goals!

1. The Altar I

The London-based electronics startup Electronics Materials Office has unveiled its first product made from sustainable materials. To be precise crafted out of post-consumer waste-derived plastic. The low-profile keyboard is a unibody aluminum framed peripheral.

Why is it noteworthy?

The Altar I’s keycaps are also forged out of recycled polymers, thereby making it a sensible accessory that goes with the sentiments of nurturing the planet. The company’s vision is to be a “future-oriented consumer hardware corporation” that’ll be centered around designing durable electronics made out of earth-friendly materials.

What we like

  • The accessory tailored for touch typing can be used with two devices simultaneously
  • Rates high on aesthetics and sustainability

What we dislike

  • There’s no word on the pricing or availability as of now

2. The Levitating Pen

Much like its name, the Levitating Pen actually does seem to be levitating! It looks as if the pen is suspended in its holder at a 23.5-degree angle. Designed to be a grand writing instrument, the pen features a Schmidt ballpoint cartridge, which makes the pen rigid and super easy to hold and creates a smooth and luxurious writing experience. And once you take a break from writing, the pen doesn’t go back to a boring old pen stand, it goes back to levitating!

Why is it noteworthy?

When done writing, you close the pen’s magnetic cap with a satisfying click and position the pen in its holder that has been magnetized to keep the pen floating in that position. To add to the fun, a simple twist leaves the pen spinning in its place for a good 20 seconds, allowing you to interact with the pen on a whole new level!

What we like

  • The pen is super fun to interact with
  • Quite easy to hold and write with
  • Spinning the pen in certain intervals can be a stress buster

What we dislike

  • No option of personalization or custom color variations are available

3. Note

Paper can be simple, and apps can be quick, but not everyone needs all the commitment that these two different note-taking methods sometimes require. There are those that just need to jot down quick notes or even draw a diagram that can be discarded before the day is over. Note, which is the most generic name ever, is pretty much a small desk whiteboard that lets you do that with efficiency, but it has a few tricks up its sleeve that a bit of spice and fun to your work.

Why is it noteworthy?

The “whiteboard” twists or rather flips over, giving you twice the space to write your notes down. One side can have a dotted grid surface to help with diagrams, while the other can be plain, or they can have the same design on both sides. As with any vertical slate, you can also place sticky notes on it, in case scribbling notes down on paper is quicker for you.

What we like

  • What makes Note unique is the addition of a multi-purpose vertical screen to its left side, this allows you to also have a view of the time, the calendar, and your appointments which are synced from your phone

What we dislike

  • The screen doesn’t show videos, a function that some people may need for their work

4. The Slope

The Slope is a “personal desktop whiteboard with pen” that you can slot right in between your monitor and your keyboard. So yes, it is simply a magnetic dry-erase whiteboard but instead of being on your wall or on the side, it is right in front of you and angled in such a way that it is perfect for your list-making or reminder-listing writing needs.

Why is it noteworthy?

It is made from bent steel sheets and is powder-coated so it’s pretty smooth and easy to use as well as giving you a premium dry-erase surface. It is also magnetic so you can attach your whiteboard markers if they’re magnetic. If not, there’s a space at the top to place them as well as space at the back to store your separate eraser. There’s a silicone phone holder if you need to have your mobile device in front of you and there’s also an opening in it so you can place your charger.

What we like

  • If you’re not using your keyboard, you can slip it under the sloped whiteboard
  • Smooth and easy to use

What we dislike

  • You can’t save what you were writing into the cloud nor can you digitize it if you need to save what you wrote

5. Hexcal Studio

British company Hexcal created the Hexcal Studio desktop organizer, which aims to be the ultimate desktop organizer and workspace accessory you need!

Why is it noteworthy?

Designed to be a monitor stand and a desktop organizer, the Hexcal Studio attempts to eliminate clutter, hide wires and provide shadowless lighting. The goal is to create a neat, tidy, and destressing workspace where wires are smartly hidden, and multiple screens can be installed to support a conducive work environment.

What we like

  • The organizer’s distribution system can support up to 14 devices, including those on AC, DC, and wireless power
  • Its patented cable management system will make all your wires disappear, providing you with a wire-free desk

What we dislike

  • Large + space-consuming design. It will take up a lot of space on your desk

6. Fusion

To-do apps are a dime a dozen these days, and they exist on phones, computers, and everything in between. This allows people to make rapid changes that sync between devices, increasing their efficiency and productivity. Tapping or clicking on checkboxes, however, doesn’t exactly have the same satisfying feedback as checking it off from a list, and you might find yourself driving on autopilot, mindlessly tapping things even unintentionally. Fusion is a combination of hardware and software that tries to bring that active participation to your electronic to-do list without going back into the pen-and-paper territory.

Why is it noteworthy?

The concept is divided into two parts, with the first being the simpler and more straightforward half. This is an E-Ink display the size of a large, wide phone that displays your task list. This can be magnetically attached to a wall mount so that you can have an eye-level view of what’s on your plate. The e-Paper technology means that the screen won’t consume much power even while it’s on, making it more power-efficient and environment-friendly.

What we like

  • Easy-to-use and effortless experience

What we dislike

  • E-ink display means we have no option to use colors to differentiate or highlight the tasks

7. Everlasting All-Metal Pencil

Wouldn’t it be grand if, like a Wacom stylus, you rarely have to replace a tip or barely sharpen your pencil at all? That sounds almost like a pipe dream, but that dream has fortunately become real with this everlasting metal pencil that lets you worry less about lead and focus more on your creative process.

Why is it noteworthy?

At first glance, it looks like the all-metal cousin of the second-gen Apple Pencil, and that is almost an accurate assessment. The octagonal shaft is made of aluminum and houses a special alloy core. Knowing that, you might think that all it will do is leave heavy grooves on your paper, but your mind might be blown away when it draws like a real pencil without seeing the tip wear down even after dozens of marks.

What we like

  • It uses metal for the core rather than the usual clay or charcoal, so it wears down so slowly that you might think your all-metal pencil will actually outlive you

What we dislike

  • It doesn’t smudge or smear the way normal graphite does. That might be a bummer for those who use smudging techniques

8. Create

Designed by Naya, Create is the kind of keyboard that will ensure you don’t need any other additional peripherals! It is highly customizable to perfectly cater to every person’s individual self-expression. It eliminates the issue of a cluttered desk, which can often occur when you constantly need to switch between different peripherals.

Why is it noteworthy?

The split keyboard with the customizable form factor and various configurable modules onboard can seamlessly fit into any workflow. Thus, it intends to become a go-to option for casual keyboard enthusiasts and serious creative professionals.

What we like

  • The keyboard is split and customizable
  • The creator in you can leverage the convenience of 9 degrees of freedom with the 3D navigator

What we dislike

  • Some users may find Create more complex to operate than a conventional keyboard

9. Summy

Summy is a dedicated device designed to keep students connected while still setting up limits to how many interruptions they can do. At its most basic, the device is a voice messenger, a timer, a daily planner, and a sort of social network among friends, most likely students in the same class or level. The idea is that you only get to send short voice messages to those in your circle, at least only when they’re available.

Why is it noteworthy?

The device uses a UI made of concentric circles and icons represented by old-school monochrome 8-bit characters. Tapping on a friend’s icon allows you to send a voice message, which is more limited and less disruptive than a voice call. You can view other friends’ daily schedules, and if they’re free, you can send a “Study with Me” request so that both of you can set a synchronized timer to study for the same time period.

What we like

  • Summy creates a rather playful atmosphere around the concept of studying together
  • Summy can also be a fun gadget to keep tabs on their own time and maybe have a retro display on their desk to keep them entertained

What we dislike

  • It can also be quite a distracting device if misused

10. Reck_Cone

Reck_Cone is a concept design that tries to combine different products into a single artful piece. It is, of course, a headphone holder, but you might not immediately identify it as one because of its shape. Unlike typical holders, it does hang the headphones down but instead lets them wrap around the almost conical structure.

Why is it noteworthy?

The headphone holder, however, can also serve as a container. The large empty space in the middle is an obvious place to put items, and it’s easy to imagine it holding pens, rulers, and other long objects. The base, however, also separates from the body to reveal a shallow basin where smaller items like paper clips and pins can be hidden

What we like

  • Multifunctional design that is a culmination of multiple products

What we dislike

  • The form is bulky and not effective on a small desk setup

Honestly, in time I’ve really come to love office pods or work booths. Office pods have gotten supremely popular ever since COVID-19 hit, not only do they create little isolated spaces to work in, but they also provide a whole other level of privacy, that would have been otherwise unimaginable and completely unattainable in a commercial office. There are quite a few versatile options on the market when it comes to office pods, and a pretty neat one I recently came across is the Arche acoustic pod.

Designer: Leet Design

Designed by the French workplace brand Leet Design, the Arche acoustic pod is a high-tech, soundproof, and sleek-looking work booth. It was designed in collaboration with designer Marouane Sadki. The Arche acoustic pod comes in two intriguing variants – a two-seater meeting pod, and a single-person phone box-style booth. Although, both of the booths do share similar aesthetics, and have a distinct rounded exterior silhouette made from recycled steel. The two versions feature glass panels on both sides and smart ventilation technology which ensures a steady air flow inside the booths, to prevent them from getting hot and stuffy.

The pods have also been equipped with other features such as adjustable lighting, a thermal presence detector, a decibel sensor, an LED vacancy indicator, and a ‘confidentiality threshold’ – which notifies users when noise levels inside the pods become too loud. All the various features can be controlled using a digital dashboard, which allows convenient calibration, based on the user’s individual preferences, as well as remote updates to maintain the steady performance of the booth.

“With its innovative features, adaptability, and emphasis on sustainability, the Arche + pod is poised to redefine workplace privacy and comfort, making it an essential addition to the offices of the future,” said Leet Design. The booths have been developed and built in France while laying a strict emphasis on sustainable materials. The pods can be disassembled and assembled for maintenance purposes, or to lengthen the lifespan of the product, making it quite easily manageable design. The interior finishes of the pods can be customized with a diverse range of upholstery and colored finishes to ensure the pods harmoniously merge with the interior style of the office.

I spend a substantial amount of my day on my desk, typing away to glory. Most of the time I also end up eating my meals on it! And binge-watching on some Netflix as well. And I’m sure that’s the case with most of us, since work from home became the new norm, and our home offices became our new hang-out spots. But worry not, we’ve found the perfect desk for you – the Charcoal Desk.

Designer: Charcoal

American electronics brand Charcoal launched an innovative standing desk called, well, the Charcoal desk. The standing desk features a built-in light that recommends to users when to take breaks to “maintain their 9 am energy throughout the day”. The Charcoal desk features a sleek design that is meant to improve and enhance the user’s well-being and provide an effect similar to that offered by regular exercise or a healthy diet.

“[The desk] calibrates breaks for crucial moments in the day when the brain is wired to refuel and clear metabolic waste. Breaks taken during these healing windows essentially ‘reset the brain’, enabling users to maintain their 9 am energy throughout the day,” said Charcoal. The desk has been equipped with a small light in one corner, which lights up and informs the user when it is time to take a break.

“The emphasis was on creating a better desk, not a smart desk. To maintain an honest evolution, we balanced the design between creating a sense of comfort and reflecting the state-of-the-art technology,” said Charcoal’s chief design officer Drishti Desai. The Charcoal desk has a clean and minimal form and is available in two sizes. It features a slimline tabletop supported by two upright columns equipped with telescopic mechanisms – to enable the user to adjust the desk’s height to a standing or seating position.

Not only should our desks be clean, but they should also sport an ergonomic and functional design! And good looks are an added bonus. And finding a desk that does all of the above can be a Herculean task. And one such stunning and functional desk design I recently came across is the Stretch Desk.

Designer: João Teixeira

Designed by João Teixeira, this minimal wooden desk is called the Stretch Desk, and quite rightfully so. The Stretch Desk is a quintessential example of Teixeira’s work which is always minimal, clean, and well-designed with interesting little details. His nuanced designs are a huge success on Instagram, and the Stretch Desk is no exception. The desk features a spinning leather bookstand that swivels through a pivot point, allowing the depth of the stand to be changed according to your personal need and requirement.

The playful leather bookstand is what gives the desk its name, and also enables you to customize your workspace – from creating more surface area to work on to adding more storage space. The swiveling pivot point is located on both sides for convenience, so you can easily switch up the stand’s depth to give you a boost of productivity while working. You can flatten it to create a larger and more generous workspace, or you could unroll it and create extra storage space. The various wooden elements and intricate details of the desk add a rather nuanced and well-crafted feel to it.

If our floor space is already at a premium, our desk space is even more so. As the number of objects on our work tables grows, our space for keeping them in place becomes increasingly smaller. It’s no wonder why there’s an overabundance of desk organizers in the market, but these, too, occupy precious space that could otherwise be used for more important tools or accessories. For convenience, most organizers are laid out horizontally, but that’s definitely not the only design available. If saving space is more important than instant access, this desk organizer might actually be more effective, especially since it can put tools and other objects out of sight and out of mind when you don’t need them.

Designer: Nakabayashi

You might have plenty of stationery, supplies, and tools, but chances are that you’ll only ever use a select handful of these most of the time. You might find a bit of comfort in seeing them all the time, but they only eat up space all the time as well. Organizers, by their nature, can at least keep them tidy and in their proper places, but they also create visual clutter that could affect our subconscious minds. You could stash them away in drawers, but you’d be out of luck if your minimalist desk does have any.

It’s for cases like these that this rather ingenious organizer design comes in handy. From the outside and when they’re closed, they look like regular, nondescript file binders. Open them up, however, and you’ll see plenty of space for almost any kind of tool or supply. Simply pull one out using the typical ring hole, open it up, and you’ll have access to whatever you need to get the job done. It’s only a few steps more compared to reaching out for an open desk organizer but not much more compared to pulling out tools from a drawer.

Despite their obvious associations with desk or office supplies, these Lifestyle Tool File organizers can really hold anything you can think of, including baby products or an emergency kit. When you don’t need access to these objects, you can simply file them away on a shelf or something similar. You might even be tempted to go wild with a library of binders full of tools and accessories for any occasion.

These file binders come in A4 and B5 sizes to really drive home the illusion. Made from hard paperboard, the organizers also offer a more sustainable solution to the growing number of plastic products sitting on your desk. Unless you group a dozen or so together, they also take up little horizontal desk space, making them ideal for more space-constrained setups. For even more restricted spaces, there’s also a tall box that unfolds to reveal a few container pockets in the same vein, allowing people to maximize the space they have without having to say goodbye to their favorite tools.
